Weekend Retreats

Our retreats give you time to restore your energies, and find that all-elusive inner calm whilst in a peaceful and tranquil setting. They vary from 1-day to 2-3 nights which give you the opportunity to learn and experience the many different tools that yoga has to offer.

It’s a time for 'connection to oneself whilst supporting your overall well-being. They are also a great way to make new acquaintances and form friendships with people that you may not have met otherwise that also share a common interest in yoga.

Immerse yourself in the beautiful nature surrounds of the Perth hills exploring the “Yoga of sound” as a tool for meditation to come out of the head into your Heart.

This weekend retreat is all inclusive of meals, accommodation and tuition. Each room has its own private en-suite and all linen is provided, with (4) single or (4) twin share options available to accommodate 12 participants only.

Retreat will include daily āsana(postures), prānāyāma(expansion of vital energy), mudras(psychic gestures), mantra meditation, kirtan(devotional singing), Yoga Nidra and so much more…

Nāda is a sanskrit word which means ‘sound’ or ‘flow of consciousness’ and the varied practices are based on the premise that the entire cosmos and all that has come into form is as its primal or subtle nature, pure vibration.  

Through the practice of active listening to sounds in nature, meditative or spiritual music, toning and chanting Mantra’s. We follow the sound current back to the source of all creation.

In following the external (ahata) gross or struck sound we aim to cultivate the experience of the more subtle inner sounds of (anahata) the unstruck.

These practices offer a way to free ourselves from the mental chatter and attune ourselves with our eternal nature of Peace. From Sound to stillness we come to rest in the subtle sound of silence at the heart.

Mantra & Nāda Yoga

Nāda Yoga is union through sound and along with Mantra Yoga it is a powerful tool for managing the mind. Hariśakti offers up a range of simple practices such as toning, Vedic chanting and Kirtan for you to explore in using your own voice as a tool for meditation.

The practice of chanting mantras pre-dates the physical form of yoga that has become widely popularized in the west. But is now also growing in popularity as it is a powerful and easy way to access blissful states of being.

Through the vehicle of sound we can calm the mind and reach deep states of meditation. It is a tool for managing and ultimately transcending or liberating the Self from the endless chatter of our own minds.

Mantra Puruṣa - the cosmic body made of sound

Sound and vibration are said to be the building blocks of all creation. It’s widespread uses in mysticism, religious and spirituality as a tool for meditation goes back many centuries. And still today within different cultures & traditions such as Yoga it offers us a portal or gateway from the gross to more subtle aspects of our being. Through sound we can bring harmony back to body & mind and find Peace within ourselves.

Through the practice of Mantra Puruṣa we explore the resonance of the 50 letters of the sanskrit alphabet by chanting each letter as a bija mantra (seed sound). This is a beautiful meditation practice which can be utilized for self healing and enriches your mantra practice through the refining of pronunciation. This course will be held over 5 weeks online meeting on a weekly basis for about 90 mins.
